IPADS/Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Sciences is glad to announce the projected application schedule for September 2020 intake with MEXT (Japanese Government) University Recommendation Scholarship opportunities for both MSc and PhD courses.
IPADS especially welcomes applicants from African Continent. Those from African Continent will be given priority for the MEXT University Recommendation Scholarship.
Among successful applicants in Round One screening who declare an intention to apply MEXT University Recommendation Scholarship during online application process and meet eligibility criteria stipulated by the MEXT, approximately 4 applicants for MSc and 4 applicants for PhD will be recommended by The University of Tokyo to the MEXT.

Although the IPADS selection is carried out in two separate round each year, MEXT University Recommendation Scholarship is available ONLY for Round One selection. Therefore those considering to apply IPADS with the MEXT University Recommendation Scholarship must apply during Round One selection. The deadline of online application (Web entry) for Round One is 15 October 2019.

<Round 2> 16 October 2019 ～ 14 February 2020
Applicants who have been unsuccessful in the Round One selection may apply again in the Round Two if they wish to do so. However, please note that the MEXT University Recommendation Scholarship is not available in Round Two.
